Due to the escalating situation in the Red Sea, Swire Shipping is experiencing a significant impact on our ability to deliver cargoes from Asian hub ports to destinations in European, Red Sea, and some of the India Subcontinent ports.

Swire Shipping relies on strategic business partners to connect our expansive shipping network to areas not covered in our sphere of excellence. As a result of these unexpected and unpredictable disruptions securing capacity on this lane is currently coming at a significant cost increase.

In response, Swire Shipping has introduced an Emergency Export Surcharge (EXS) for this lane. Due to carriers slightly reducing their feeder rates in the remaining of this February for Europe imports, we will adjust the applicable Westbound Europe Africa EXS rates effective 24 February 2025, as detailed in the table below. The EXS will continue to be invoiced to the freight payer.
