新闻稿 – 太古轮船在跨太平洋航线完成可持续生物燃料试航

新加坡 – 太古轮船作为一家提供可持续创新航运和物流解决方案的领先供应商,在其屡获殊荣的 Sun Chief Express Ocean Service航线*上成功完成了可持续生物燃料(B24)的试航试验。协同UWL,Sun Chief Express Ocean Service航线直接连接越南与美国,是该市场上速度最快的远洋航线,可快速连接北美中心地带以及柬埔寨、印度尼西亚和泰国。

太古轮船北美区总裁石昊礼 (Harry Stones) 表示:“我们很高兴宣布,我们的Sun Chief Express Ocean Service航线使用生物燃料成功完成试航。这一举措反映出我们致力于探索可持续航运解决方案,以满足日益增长的环保需求。在我们的Sun Chief Express Ocean Service航线上使用可持续生物燃料(B24)预计将为我们的客户减少约 15%的从燃料生产到船舶使用的整个生命周期(Well-to-Wake)的温室气体排放。我们期待通过继续努力,最大限度地减少对环境的影响,为海运业更加可持续发展的未来做出贡献。”

执行此次Sun Chief Express Ocean Service航线试航的“Suva Chief”在香港特别行政区加注了可持续生物燃料(B24),该生物燃料由废弃物制成的可持续生物柴油与传统燃料混合而成。这次试航是与香港特别行政区的船用燃料供应商中燃远邦石油化工有限公司(CPN)和太古轮船的燃料合作伙伴Hafnia Bunker Alliance合作进行的。

Hafnia Bunker Alliance 负责人 Peter Grunwaldt 表示: “我们很荣幸为太古轮船生物燃料的成功试航提供了支持,进一步履行了我们的共同承诺:减少排放,促进更加可持续的海运未来。”

中燃远邦石油化工有限公司的董事钟迪康 (Calvin Chung) 分享道: “作为香港特别行政区领先的生物燃料实体供应商,我们很高兴能协助太古轮船和 Hafnia 在我们的港口进行首次生物燃料供给。此次生物燃料的输送进一步加强了我们在环保港口能源供应和实现全球去碳化目标方面的贡献。”

*Sun Chief Express Ocean Service 在2023年荣获西北海港联盟颁发的 2022 年北极星奖的货运锚奖,并被 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 评为 2023 年最佳供应链项目之一。
