North West Direct (NWD) Service Upgrade – Fastest Transit time in the market

Swire Shipping is pleased to announce an upgrade to our North West Direct (NWD) service.

We will offer:

• A dedicated shuttle service operated solely by Swire Shipping between Singapore and Pilbara region.

• Increased port calls into Port Hedland, improving frequency from 25 days to every 18 days.

• Fastest transit time of 7 days between Singapore and Port Hedland.

The service will be operated by the MV. Dili Chief, a multi-purpose vessel with two vessel cranes each capable of 45 tonnes single lift, with a combined loading capacity of 70 tonnes. The upgraded service will commence on 21st April with Dili Chief 2306S. Updated schedules connecting Port Hedland and Dampier to the rest of the world will be published this week.

This upgraded NWD service reflects our commitment to better serve customers and communities in the Pilbara region through continued investment in our product offerings aiming to save our customers’ time and delivering market leading end to end logistics with sustainability and highest on time performance.
