Swire Shipping Australia clinches industry customer service award for a second time

25/02/2022

Huge congratulations to the Swire Shipping Australia team for winning the Customer Service Award at the 2021 DCN Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards.

This is the second time that Swire Shipping has won the award; and with the event taking place on 17th February, it is a wonderful present for our 150th anniversary, which we celebrated on 31st January this year!

Randy Selvaratnam, Swire Shipping’s GM Pacific said: “What is significant about this award is that it was nominated and voted for by our customers. This is the only such award; the others are decided on the basis of submissions made by the Lines to a judging panel. If our customers think that we are the best, then that is what really counts!” That is why it was so encouraging for our teams to come top in this category, against all other regional and global carriers.

What is significant for Swire Shipping is that the award does not only reflect the work of our Customer Success team in Australia, but all our other teams from around the network. We think it reflects a lot of the work that has been done over the past 3 years to create a global, multi-skilled team that is handling customer concerns from Sydney to Singapore, and from Bangalore to the United Kingdom. They have all contributed to this success.
