North Asia (NAT) Service Update – Port Coverage Changes

09/02/2023

To facilitate the upgrade of our Southeast Asia (SEA) and East Southeast Asia (ESEA) services to the newly-launched Pacific Weekly Express (PWX), direct coverage of Sri Racha, Thailand will transfer to NAT. Multi-modal cargo services to and from Sri Racha will be provided by NAT’s “Pacific” class multi-purpose vessels, which are sister ships to those previously calling on ESEA.

As a result of this inclusion and the availability of alternative options within Swire Shipping’s existing North Asia network, the ports of Nansha and Honiara will be omitted from NAT. Cargo to and from Nansha will continue to be carried by our North Asia Express (NAX) fixed day fortnightly service. North Asia to Honiara coverage will also be provided by NAX, connecting via Lae with delivery to Honiara on our upgraded Australia-Papua New Guinea (PNG) fixed day fortnightly service. Additional transshipment and cargo routing options for Nansha and Honiara abound through our extensive wider network.

Our team will contact you to arrange any booking changes and to guide you on solutions that fit your needs. The following table indicates the changes to imminent NAT voyages commencing with the MV. Samoa Chief v.2305S/N, and schedules will be published this week reflecting the revised port coverage.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to working with you. Should you have any questions, please contact your local Swire Shipping representative.
