Trans-Tasman Service Tonnage Update

18/01/2023

Dear all,

The Tasman Chief will be phased out of the service upon completion of her 2203E/W voyage.

The vessel will be replaced by the M/V Kota Bahagia, which will join the TRT service in mid-March and commence her deployment in Auckland on voyage 2203W.

The Kota Bahagia is a 2011 built multipurpose vessel with up to 200 tons lifting capacity ideally suited for the break bulk, heavy and project cargoes carried on this trade. It also provides extra flexibility to carry containerized cargoes.

The above changes will be reflected in this week’s schedule.

If you have any further questions with regards to the above, please do not hesitate to contact your Swire Shipping representative.

Swire Shipping appreciates the ongoing support of our customers and looks forward to continue being of service in the future.
