Rate Restoration Notice – Fiji

31/08/2020

Dear Valued Customers,

The arrival of COVID-19 this year has impacted international trade and diminished cargo flows across the Pacific and globally. While Swire Shipping has experienced a long period of declining ocean freight rates and escalating operating costs, we have not reduced our capacity as we recognise that our customers in Fiji rely on a regular and reliable shipping service.

In order to maintain our existing frequency, port coverage and high levels of service integrity, Swire Shipping is required to apply the following rate restoration to Fiji.

From Australia
To Fiji
Effective Kokopo Chief v027N
20ft Containers USD 125
40ft Containers USD 250
Breakbulk USD 7.25 per revenue ton

Swire Shipping is committed to maintaining our highest level of service from Australia to Fiji which currently makes regular direct calls at Suva and Lautoka. This rate restoration ensures that we can continue to provide the greatest reliability and long-term sustainability for these direct services.

We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your support so that we can continue providing market-leading service coverage of direct services into Fiji. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact your local Swire Shipping representative.
