WCNA S-Class Deployment

Tonnage Upgrade Announcement

Swire Shipping is pleased to announce the upgrading of their tonnage deployed within the West Coast North America service during 2013 with the deployment of two newly built, China Navigation Company (CNCo) owned 31,000 dwt Multi Purpose “S-Class” vessels.

The deployment of the new “S-Class” vessels will bring unique benefits to our customers offering heavy lift capability to 110mt, break bulk, project and containerised cargoes whilst maintaining an unparallel service between the United States and Canadian West Coast to Australia and New Zealand.

The current vessels deployed being the Chengtu and Chenan will phase out in Australia and replaced by the Shengking and Siangtan with the phase in dates as follows;

Shengking ETA Brisbane 26th September 2013
Siangtan ETA Brisbane 4th January 2014

Holds: 5 multipurpose holds with tween-decks
