Swire Shipping BAF Annoucement (WCNA) - August 2012

July 2, 2012

United States and Canada to Australia and New Zealand
Bunker Adjustment Fee (BAF)

Dear Valued Customer,

Please be advised that the Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) applied to all exports from the United States and Canada to Australia and New Zealand will decrease as follows:

Break Bulk - from $43.50 to $37.65 per rvt
20’ Containers - from $740 to $640 per TEU
40’ Containers - from $1270 to $1216 per FEU

The revised BAF rates will take effect on all cargo loaded from 1st August 2012.

This revision is in response to recent decrease in bunker price.

There will be a requirement to recover additional costs relating to the compliance with North American ECA regulations regarding use of low sulfur fuel. Further information will be made available as soon as possible.

Tariff cargo as well as existing contracts (except those with an agreed BAF calculation) will be subject to this decrease.

Please do not hesitate to contact your local agency representative should you have any questions.

Yours faithfully,
WCNA Trade Management Team
